CONSORTIØ GAME

ConsortiØ is a serious game developed in partnership with the Quebec Ministry of Economy and Innovation to help companies understand open innovation and develop strategies to get the most out of it.

It is suitable for all types of businesses (manufacturers, distributors, retailers, SMEs, self-employed workers) and puts players in a real context of collaboration and negotiations.

It is therefore by making concrete choices and immediately looking at their effects (positive or negative) that they will be able to judge, understand and learn how to optimize an open innovation action plan for their company.

The game's rules

ConsortiØ is a collaborative game that is played in sessions of 2, 4 or 6 hours by previously trained facilitators. It can be given to groups of 4 to 100 people divided into teams of 4 to 6.

The players are brought together in a consortium and each represents one of the players in this consortium (companies, research laboratory, user communities, etc.). Everyone has a budget to invest in the collaborative project in order to develop new products while generating maximum value. Some of the players also have bonus skills that can be used by the party at some point.

But each member of the consortium also has personal objectives and issues that he will have to solve. It is in this tension between the individual and the collective that the majority of the discussions will be played out as the game progresses and the negotiation of the right tools to develop an optimal action plan.

And you, what would you do? Negotiating hard to achieve your goals at the expense of the success of the group (and therefore yours)? Bringing the right arguments at the right time to maximize your collective chances of success?

The best way to find out is to play!
